With power and styling, it is without a cast of doubt that Pontiac entails maximum performance and lavish styling. Considered as a mid-level brand, it goes through the borders of a luxury car and an entry-level vehicle. This entails only one thing - its quality parts bring the best bang for the buck.
Though not as pricey and as fully-equipped as a luxury sedan, the Pontiac features many standard parts and equipments which are far more equipped than entry-level ones.
The Pontiac is a line of brand of cars manufactured by the Pontiac Motor Division of the General Motors Corporation. It was originally introduced by the Oakland Automobile Company as a five-passenger car. It was a rather cheaper alternative to the costlier Oakland Motor Car line also from General Motors. The name Pontiac was first used in 1906 by the Pontiac Spring & Wagon Works and linked to Chief Pontiac. Until 1956, a Native American Headdress was used as a logo. While the present Pontiac logo represents a Native American arrowhead, an alternate slang term for the marque among performance enthusiasts is Poncho. Another slang term used in the early stages of brand was "Indian" due the subject matter of its logo.
